Coming from either north or south bound on the on the M25 take junction 2, and follow the signs to Dartford as you come off the motorway roundabout theres a petrol garage on your left followed by a mini round about take the 3rd exit (Park Road) at the next round about take take the 1st exit (East Hill) at the bottom of the hill, keep in the left hand lane and go straight across at the trafic lights (High Street). You will see The Wat Tyler on your right .... if you continue along that road (high street) there are sevral parking spcaes and car parks.


Coming from else where follow all signs to Dartford Town Centre and the Railway Station, go round the ring road (you should see Waitrose and the Orchard theatre on your right just before the round about) at the station roundabout take the 2nd exit and stay in the right hand lane, at the trafic lights turn right into the High Street, You will see The Wat Tyler on your right .... if you continue along that road (high street) there are sevral parking spcaes and car parks.



Tradition states that Dartford played a major role in the Peasants’ Revolt of 1381 and that Wat Tyler, leader of the Kentish peasants, was from Dartford.
